Twin Wire Arc Spray

TWAS or often referred to as metalizing, TSA (Thermal Spray Aluminum), or TSZ (Thermal Spray Zinc) is the one of the most economical and productive process of all thermal spray applications. Materials such as aluminum, zinc, stainless steel, nickel, tungsten carbide just to name a few can be applied utilizing this process. The benefits of the TWAS application are the purity of the materials being applied and the porosity that can be engineered into the coating’s microstructure. This engineered porosity can then be utilized to accept additional coating process that assist with lubriciousness or protective seal coatings that can be applied directly over the TWAS.
